Udaipur region is bestowed with rich mineral wealth & heritage.  The endowment has led to substantial  infrastructure developments & better industrial growth is noticeable in the region.

Minerals - Hindustan Zinc Ltd. , a unit of Vedanta Group, is the largest non-ferrous metal producer in the world & is further expanding with investments of Rs. 2400 crores. Wolkem India Ltd. is the world’s largest producer of Wolastonite and India’s largest producer of Calcite. RSMM is the largest rock phosphate producer of India. Hundreds of mining & processing units of marble, soapstone, quartz, felspar & fertilizers supply  globally the best quality produce from the region.

Marbles - By producing more than 1 million MT. of marble in the year 2002, R.K. Marble has been honoured by “The Guiness Book” for being the world’s largest producer of marble.

Cement - Udaipur region is the largest cement producer with Companies like JK, Binani, Lakshmi, Birla, Shree, Aditya & Vikram Cements. While these existing units are rapidly expanding, 3 more large cement plants are coming up in the region.

Electronics - Secure Meters Ltd. Udaipur – Going global, has acquired AEMS of U.K. & CEWE of Sweden. Setting up a new plant in Kaladwas that will increase employee strength from 900 to 1800. Lipi Data at Udaipur is the largest manufacturer of High Speed printers in India. Pyrotech Group is a leading electronics manufacturer focused on process control  instrumentation.

Textiles - Many textile units manufacturing yarn & fabrics like, LNJ Group, HEG, Nitin, Sangam, SRSL & Reliance are located in the region making it the ‘Textile hub’ of Asia.

Rubber & Plastics - The country’s leading tyre manufacturers & exporter, JK Group also have their main base in the region. Mewar Polytex, Sun & Harmony, are the country’s leading exporters of specialty plastic woven fabrics
